We held the first Nairobi STEM/coding camp titled “STEM It Up” on the 6th to 8th November 2016 in partnership with EMCAST and KICD.

It was a one-week STEM/coding camp supported by dynamic program and abundant STEM educational resources. At the camp, students learned STEM through coding for their critical, creative thinking skills, problem-solving ability, collaboration and teamwork. Not only did the students learn coding but they explored invention activities using the engineering design process and algorithmic thinking.

*STEM is an abbreviation of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and Tinker STEM education developed for 21st century skills.
